Luton – Vauxhall OnStar, the personal connectivity and service assistant, has won best car tech innovation at the Parkers New Car Awards 2018.
OnStar is available across the Vauxhall range, and includes a number of safety and convenience functions to support drivers.
This includes stolen vehicle assistance, automatic crash response, destination download, 4G Wi-Fi hotspot, smartphone app functionality and vehicle diagnostics.
“With technology advancing at a rate of knots, our winner Vauxhall OnStar and the two commended innovations really impressed us with by how they are taking the world of cars into the future, but in a way that makes them supremely easy to live with today,” said Parkers editor Keith Adams.
“This innovative concierge system adds a human element to car ownership – other manufacturers need to follow Vauxhall’s lead on this one.”
